What do you need? And how much does it take to hold a book? SCHLAGSEITE substantially rethinks the type of a bookcase. The result is a physically and optically reduced object, using the least amount of material. Time to need less: an airy grid with a well-defined distance from the wall behind it, tilted by an angle of 3°; in this way, books do not fall. SCHLAGSEITE invites you to interact: with the tip of a finger you can choose a book. Empty, it produces a sculptural shadow on the wall, when fully loaded it retracts and leaves the scenery to the books.

History of the designer

Breuer Bono è un brand di mobili austriaco fondato dal designer Martin Breuer Bono. Tutti i pezzi sono progettati dal designer e realizzati in piccoli lotti da artigiani locali utilizzando materiali accuratamente selezionati. Martin Breuer Bono ha conseguito un Master presso la Technische Universität Wien e un Master presso il Royal College of Art di Londra. Il suo lavoro si concentra su progetti che mirano sempre alla ricerca dell'essenziale incorporando un approccio minimalista. I suoi progetti hanno vinto prestigiosi premi internazionali di design, il suo lavoro è stato esposto in mostre itineranti in numerosi paesi. Martin Breuer-Bono vive e lavora a Graz, in Austria.
