This charming decanter features a sinuous round shape which bulges at the bottom and tapers slightly leading up to the lip where it again widens, creating the perfect spout for pouring beverages.
What makes this piece truly unique is its likeness to the Gajna bird.
On either side of the body of the decanter is a delicate featherless wing and the base of the vessel consists of two bird legs, appearing to be in mid stride.
This piece will bring life to the dining table and make a striking effect when paired with other glass pieces by the same designer.
History of the designer
Simone Crestani is a young luminary when it comes to glass. His aesthetic tends toward time-honored artistic values – balance, elegance, grace – yet his creations are complete novelties in the glassart world. Simone had the privilege of growing up close to Venice and doing his apprenticeship with expert glassmith Massimo Lunardon. Many of his creations can be considered part of a contemporary “Cabinet of Curiosity” where nature is not defaced but respected by reproducing its essence in fragile transparent shapes.
